Membership Fees

Subscription rates for 2019-2020

All categories, except BBKA Country Members (members without bees) and Associate members, are covered by public and product liability insurance under the BBKA scheme

Family membership*, including spouse/partner and children receiving full time education at same address (includes one BBKA Registered membership of £21.00 and Basic BDI of £2) £36.00

Ordinary member (including BBKA Registered membership of £21.00 and Basic BDI of £2) £35.00

*optional extra for Partners involved in Beekeeping – BBKA Partner membership of £13.50

*optional extra for Junior (active beekeeper under 18) – BBKA Junior membership of £9.50

Country member – ordinary member who is not an active beekeeper or without bees (including one BBKA Country membership of £10.00) £22.00

Associate member – ordinary active beekeeper who is a member of another association and pays their BBKA and BDI subscriptions through that association – £12

Bee Craft magazine (hard copy plus digital for January – December 2022). This must be paid by the 15th of November each year in order to receive the first issue in January. £30; digital version only £20 (inc VAT)

Full Membership (i.e. excluding Partner, Junior, Country, & Associate) includes BDI (bee disease insurance)  for 3 colonies (£2.00), you must purchase additional cover for additional hives. BDI will not be active and valid until 1st January each year.

Additional BDI fees:

4 – 5 colonies = £2.00

6 – 10 colonies = £5.25

11 – 15 colonies = £7.75

16 – 20 colonies = £9.50

21 – 25 colonies = £11.10

26 – 30 colonies = £13.60

31 – 35 colonies = £16.10

36 – 39 colonies = £18.10
